The Mavic Pro

The DJI Mavic Pro is the drone that takes all the photos around here. It was released by DJI in 2016 and was a huge hit. Ever since then, DJI has been making folding drones just like it. The DJI Mavic Pro has a 4K stabilized camera and is very portable. The Mavic can reach an incredible max distance of 4.3 miles from the takeoff point. It has a top speed of an incredible 40 MPH in sport mode. The Mavic also has a 27 Min Battery life which is very nice. Another nice feature the Mavic has Vision Sensors, in the front and bottom. They make sure you don’t run into a tree or land on uneven ground.

I got my Mavic about 2 years ago and love it. Whenever I go to a park or lake, the drone comes with me. It is so easy to take since it is so compact and portable you can truly go anywhere with it. The 40 MPH top speed is fun to race in the sky, and the GPS mode is perfect for taking nice photos or videos you love. The Mavic is equipped with everything the common man needs and is perfect for the fun sports speed, and the smooth photos and videos.

The Mavic has many different features, such as tap fly, tripod mode, waypoints, and many more. But my favorite of all is the active track feature. You only take a couple of taps and you can follow anything. I have used the active track feature a fair amount, and it works perfectly. You can even circle around the object you are following with only one swipe.

DJI has done a very exultant job compacting so many amazing features in such a small drone. The sensors have come in handy a couple of times, if it wasn’t for them, I would have run right into a little stick poking up from the ground a couple of times.

The Down Side To The Mavic

The drone is great and is not too expensive, but the downside is it’s old. Since DJI has disbanded the drone, you can no longer get Genuine parts or Battery new. You can only get one if you get it from someone. DJI stopped making the Mavic Pro in 2018, and the battery in 2020. The only battery that is common nowadays is the 3rd party battery, which doesn’t fit a lot of the time or doesn’t last near as long as the DJI battery. This tipe of thing makes me mad since people paid $1000 for this drone new, and then a couple years later, stop selling the battery.

Other than that, there is no real downside other than it’s 7 years old. Although its old, it works just as good as new, as long as you take care of it. Should last another 3 years or more.

Other DJI Drones

Since the Mavic is old, other DJI drones are new, and have some new features compared to the Mavic. There is the DJI Mavic Air 2, Mavic 3, and DJI FPV. These are some of the drones I would prefer now. If you would not want the Mavic. These drones have higher tech. The Mavic Air 2 is the best in my aspect, since it’s $800 not too high for a nice drone, and has everything you need, with a better camera than the Mavic Pro.
